10to4 Mountain Bike Race raises funds for HPT

The annual 10to4 Mount Kenya Mountain Bike race raises funds for the critical projects that help to protect and conserve Mount Kenya National Park and Reserve. Not only 2 wheels but 4 legged friends also take part in the three-day event – starting from the Horse Patrol Base on Kisima!

Pump up your wheels and shine up your hooves – get ready for the start line!

With stunning views of Mount Kenya, pass down from 10,000ft through the Elephant Corridor, lush indigenous forest and moorland until heading out onto the flat lowlands of Borana Conservancy – keeping a watch out for wildlife along the way. You won’t be disappointed!

Last year over 5.5million Ksh was raised for the much-needed projects. These include the JWPT vehicle and medical insurance, horse patrol team salaries, fire fighting efforts in February and March, conservation education at one of the forest boundary schools, fencing damages made by elephants, vehicles and people and tree planting projects – along with much more.
